February was a sweetheart of a month for private funding, adding more than $25K and bringing the two-month total to $29,104, or nearly 27% of the annual goal.

The main contributing factors were a $10K donation from the Friends of the Library (thank you Friends!), and proceeds from the sale of donated stock. Did you know you can donate stock to the library? You can, and it’s very much appreciated. Contact EPL Director Maryellen Kanarr to find out how.

In addition, ticket sales and sponsorships for the upcoming Tee Time at the Library, plus sales from the Friends’ Book Nook, fines, fees, and printing revenue all contributed to the grand total of $25,651 in private funding last month.

We’re grateful for all the support provided by the Friends throughout the year and excited to see the return of their Spring Used-Book Sale in May. This year’s event will be held on the library grounds (instead of Lower Macungie Middle School as in previous years). Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 8 (rain date May 15), and stay tuned for more details on the Friends’ largest fundraising event of the year.

Tee Time at the Library on April 23 & 24 is another great way to support the library while enjoying a fun and budget-friendly outing with family or friends. Get your tickets at the desk or online today.

Thank you for supporting the library
