Please consider how valuable the Library is to you and your family. Since 1940, we have provided library materials, services, and events FREE of charge. We continue to look for new ways to provide assistance to the communities and patrons we serve, despite recent decreases in state, borough, and township funding. Your important - and greatly appreciated - donation will help with operating expenses, adding materials to the collections, and providing dynamic and engaging events for all ages.
Please include the library as part of your giving plans - every donation helps!

The Emmaus Public Library is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, therefore all donations are tax-deductible. Click Here for a copy of our Annual Fund Letter or use the PayPal link below. The library can send you a letter of receipt for tax purposes to the return address provided with your payment.

Welcome to the Emmaus Public Library

Welcome to the Emmaus Public Library. The library is part of the Access Pennsylvania program and serves as the home library for residents of the East Penn area (Emmaus Borough, Macungie Borough, and Upper Milford Township). Emmaus Public Library is one of 11 Libraries that form the Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative (LCLC).

You must have your library card to borrow or renew materials. (If you forget your library card, we can check out your materials with the presentation of valid picture ID, after 3 courtesy look-ups you will be required to replace your card). Your library card is a permanent card; keep it always. Your information and the card will be updated periodically at the library. The replacement fee for a lost card is $2.00. As a cardholder, you have agreed to be responsible for all items borrowed and charges incurred.

Patrons served by Catasaqua, Coplay, Dimmick, Lehighton, Lower Macungie, Palmerton, Slatington, Southern Lehigh, Whitehall or Emmaus Libraries are eligible for an LCLC Share card that will grant borrowing privileges at any participating LCLC library. Patrons from other areas holding a valid home library card from an AccessPa Library and photo ID are also eligible for borrowing and reference services.

Your World Just Got Bigger
You can now borrow materials from any of the 11 libraries in the new Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative. Catasauqua, Coplay, Dimmick, Emmaus, Lehighton, Lower Macungie, Palmerton, Parkland, Slatington, Southern Lehigh and Whitehall libraries have combined forces to make borrowing even easier. The book or DVD you want isn't on our shelf? Odds are one of the other libraries has it, and you can either pick it up there or have it delivered here within 1-2 days!

NEW LCLC Cards are HERE We're ready to issue you a shiny new card starting January 31- please bring your old card and a valid photo ID when you stop in, we'll update any info that may be out of date and get your new card ready to use! No need to carry around 3 different library cards when one card will give you access to all 11 LCLC libraries. Old cards will be exchanged for free (your existing library card must be in good standing)! Come see your library staff for all of the details.

Show off your EPL Pride! We have Library Tote Bags ($10 each), Puzzles ($20 each), and Stickers ($1 each) for sale at the front desk. There is also a small supply of Library Catalog Cards still available ($5 for 25 assorted cards.)

The Library does NOT follow the East Penn School District calendar or inclement weather closings. For Events check our calendar.
