Private-funding results are in for the first month of 2024. Let’s take a look…

This year’s target is $136,344. This figure is based on the projected gap between the budget and the funding provided by state and local municipalities (see the 2023 year-end summary for more info).

In January, private funding totaled $14,597, with nearly $11K in donations — including memorial gifts and United Way matching funds — making up the bulk. Annual fund contributions ($1,885) and Tee Time sponsorships ($800) added to the total.

The remainder came from sales in the Friends’ Book Nook (nearly $600), along with cash receipts of nearly $300 for printing, lost/damaged items, etc.

There are two great ways to support the library coming up soon:

Tee Time at the Library — March 8 & 9: Two fun days to enjoy 18 rounds of mini-golf in the stacks with family and friends. Get info and tickets here, or stop at the desk.
Friends’ Annual Spring Used Book Sale — April 19 & 20: The Friends’ biggest fundraiser — this year held at the library.

Come on out and enjoy these fun events! Of course, there are lots of other ways to show your support throughout the year — and they all help us to make important services and programs available to everyone.

THANK YOU!
