Thanks to a grant from the Harry C. Trexler Trust, it’s Christmas in July at the library! The adult section and the Margaret Knoll Gardner Lecture Room will soon be getting a little ‘nip & tuck’ in the form of new carpeting.

Installation is scheduled for July 30-August 2 (Friday through Monday). The library will be open regular hours on those days: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 31 (Sat.), and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. August 2 (Mon.).

To get ready, we’ll be removing items from shelves and displays in the carpeted areas of the adult section this week — including large print, new books, newspapers, puzzles, the ‘book nook’ and more. Please ask at the desk for any items you need and staff will retrieve them from the back. Curbside pickup is also available.

Please note that only one PC in the adult section will be accessible, but additional PCs can be found in the young adult and children’s sections.

DVDs and audiobooks are expected to remain accessible. The regular fiction, nonfiction and biography sections will not be affected.

Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding as we make the library more beautiful to serve you better!
