Hello all! This is Lauri, your Adult Services Librarian. We enjoyed all your Summer Reading book reviews so much that we want to keep the bookish fun going.
I’m pleased to announce the start of EPL Reads beginning Monday, September 16.
EPL Reads is designed to support your book-loving lifestyle, connect you with other readers, and help you discover new books and authors to enjoy. Here’s some of what you can expect:
- Our own EPL Reads group on Goodreads, the world’s largest site for readers: We’ll have discussions, challenges, polls, and other fun. Joining our group is easy — just follow these simple steps (you can also download the steps here):
- All your book reviews in one place: Not sure what to read next? Take a look through the new EPL Reads binder in the Adult Reading Lounge and get ideas from the reviews left by fellow readers. There are nearly 200 reviews there already — organized by genre — and more will be added over time.
Submit book reviews to help other readers: Just finished a great book? Or maybe a less-than-great book? Leave a review to be added to the binder and to be considered for the display in the Adult Reading Lounge. You can submit reviews in our new decorative box or through our EPL Reads group online. Not only will you be helping other patrons who are wondering what to read next, but you’ll be bringing attention to books and authors that might otherwise go unnoticed.
- Fun events for readers: Stay tuned for book tastings, book swaps, book bingo, and more ways to share your love of reading with kindred spirits.
