The private-funding thermometer rose by $36,860 in May, bringing the total for the year to $63,315 or 55.2% of the goal. That’s a big jump up from the end of April, when the year-to-date total stood at $26,455 (23% of the goal).

The biggest component was $25,399 from the Friends of the Library, which included revenue from their big Spring Used Book Sale, funds from annual membership dues, and Book Nook sales for May. Amazing!

Kelly Automotive Group, another loyal supporter, donated $5K through its Kelly Foundation (thank you!) — and the library received the Eventbrite revenue for Tee Time online ticket sales totaling nearly $3K.

General gifts, including several ‘in memory of’ donations, totaled nearly $3K in May.

Finally, cash receipts from printing/copies, lost or damaged items, and the donation box added $550 to round out the month.

Check back here next month to see where private funding stands at the halfway mark for 2022 — and keep the support coming. You’re the reason we can offer great materials, events, services and resources free to all, which makes us stronger collectively and individually.

Thank you!
