The Library is only closed for a few major holidays each year!
EPL does close each year for New Year’s Day, Memorial Day (the Saturday prior & Monday), Independence Day, Labor Day (the Saturday prior & Monday), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day, and New Year’s Eve. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the Library may be closed the Saturday prior and / or the Monday after based on neighboring libraries and staffing.
The Library does not close for most other federal or local holidays. If you’re aren’t sure you can always give us a call (610 965 9284), check the calendar (https://www.emmauspl.org/calendar) or ask at the desk.
On days the library is closed – scheduled or emergency weather related – no physical items are due and no physical holds expire. You can return most library items to any LCLC book drop when the library is closed.
