The private funding thermometer rose by $27,374 in October, bringing the total to $93,434, or 78 percent of the goal.

The healthy boost can be attributed in large part to a $21K donation from the Friends of EPL, in addition to their monthly Book Nook sales of $800. We can’t say it enough: We have the best and most dedicated Friends, and we appreciate all they do for us throughout the year.

Donations to the annual fund, plus Tee Time sponsorships, added roughly $3,700 to last month’s total. Thank you to the local businesses, organizations and families who are signing up to support the 4th Annual Tee Time event on March 8 & 9, 2024. If you’d like to sponsor a hole or help out in other ways, please contact Kathy Reinhard.

Thank you also to the many patrons and residents contributing to the annual fund, which accounts for a large portion of private funding. You still have time to make a tax-deductible donation this year.

General donations and the donation box added roughly $1,250 to the October results. Cash receipts of nearly $600 (for lost and damaged items, printing/copying, and room rentals) rounded out the rest.

We’re getting closer and closer, but we still need your help to close the gap of $26,402 with six weeks to go.

Enjoy some holiday cheer and shop the Friends’ holiday book sale Dec. 1, reply to your annual fund letter, or contribute on GivingTuesday (Nov. 28).

You can also donate your time, talent, and gently loved books — and/or express your appreciation to the board, staff, and volunteers who help to make the library a fun place to visit and a valuable part of the community.

WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!
