The private funding thermometer rose by $2,583 in May, bringing the total to $38,749, or 32.3 percent of the 2023 goal.

General and annual fund donations made up the largest portion at more than $1,400, including $500 from the Emmaus Lioness Club. Many thanks!

The Friends’ Book Nook — a great place to find bargains on gently used books, puzzles and media all year round — generated more than $500 last month.

Finally, cash receipts of nearly $650 for lost and damaged items, printing/copying, and room rentals, rounded out the rest.

With five months complete and seven months left, the gap is $81,088, or $11,584 per month on average.

How can you help the library? Of course, donations are always appreciated (one-time or recurring), but there are so many other ways to show your support–from honoring loved ones with gift books, to joining the Friends, to volunteering. Check out a list of ideas here, and check back next month for June results.

THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF EPL!
