Biography

Artist and art educator Barbara Kozero is a Bethlehem native. With a BFA from the Tyler School of Art and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Kozero taught studio art for 20 years in the Bethlehem Area School District. Over the span of her career, she has also been an adjunct professor teaching studio art and art history in the art departments of Northampton Community College, DeSales University, Lehigh University and Moravian University.

She is a multimedia artist who exhibits her work both locally and nationally. Her recent works have concentrated primarily on mosaics and sculpture. Kozero‘s mosaic installations can be seen locally in the LVHN Hospitals at Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg campuses, Moravian Hall Square, Bethlehem Public Library Southside Branch and the Victaulic Corporation.

Kozero has also worked with BASD students to create mosaic installations for the BASD Education Center, Nitschmann Middle School, Marvine Elementary school and Miller Heights Elementary School.

Kozero has illustrated three books and is the author and illustrator of a children’s book titled Finding the Magic in Me.

For this show, Kozero is showing her whimsical side and having fun with clocks and books and animals.
