The private funding thermometer rose by $7,064 in March, bringing the total to $22,319, or 18.6 percent of the 2023 goal.

About half of last month’s bump came from Tee Time ticket sales, which helped make this the most successful Tee Time yet, netting nearly $12,000 for the library!

General donations totaling $2,000 were the next largest component of March results.

It was a strong month in the Friends’ Book Nook with sales of $854. Cash receipts of $800 (printing/copying, room rentals, damaged items, etc.) rounded out the rest.

With the first quarter now complete and nine months left, the gap is $97,518, or $10,835 per month on average.

Make plans to stop by the Friends’ 23rd Annual Spring Used Book Sale on April 21 and 22 at Lower Macungie Middle School, which will also feature a nutrition, health and safety fair by Nutrition, Inc. You’ll be supporting the Friends and enriching your reading life and book collection too!
