If you’ve missed coming inside the library to choose your next book or DVD, or to use the computers, we have good news. The building is reopening to the public on Monday, January 18.

Our hours will remain the same:

Monday – Thursday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
High-risk patrons: 10-11 a.m. Thursdays
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed Friday and Sunday

No-contact curbside pickup will continue and is still recommended and encouraged to limit potential exposure. You can request curbside service by calling 610-965-9284, emailing emmauspl@cliu.org, or by placing holds through your online account.

Wi-Fi is also available outside the building (use network: EPSDLIB; password: libraryaccess01).

Guidelines for indoor visits

If you’d like to come in and browse or use the computers or Wi-Fi, we welcome you to do so while following these safety guidelines:

  • As before, masks must be worn over the nose and mouth at all times, as required by the PA Dept. of Health. Any persons not wearing their mask or face covering will be asked to leave for the day, no exceptions or warnings.
  • Do not enter the library if you have symptoms of COVID such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
  • Use hand sanitizer upon entering and/or before handling items or using PCs. Dispensers are located at the entrance and throughout the library.
  • Maintain a distance of 6 feet between yourself and others.
  • Limit your visit to no more than an hour.
  • Place all handled materials in a designated bin for cleaning/quarantining, or use/ask for gloves if you want to browse by hand.

Please note that the lecture room is not currently available for rental or use. All events will remain virtual or take-home kits for the time being.

Occupancy will be limited to 45 persons based on staff’s ability to maintain health mandates.

Any visitor who is not following health-mandated mask and social distancing policies, or whose actions put other patrons, staff or volunteers at risk will be asked to leave immediately for the remainder of the day.

The library building may close suddenly for COVID-related safety reasons and/or inclement weather. Closings will be posted on our website, Facebook, and WFMZ.com.

We look forward to seeing you again!
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
