The private-funding thermometer rose by $3,304 in February, bringing the two-month total to $9,176, or 8 percent of the goal.

About half of last month’s bump came from Tee Time sponsors and annual fund contributions. The other half was roughly split among Book Nook sales, general gifts, and cash receipts.

While private funding has traditionally been strongest at the end of the year, efforts have been underway to relieve some of the fourth-quarter pressure through additional fundraising earlier in the year.

One such effort is Tee Time at the Library. After a great launch that raised more than $11K in 2021, Tee Time is set to be bigger and better this year, thanks to the hard work of the board’s fundraising committee and the support of many sponsors.

Another April event that also greatly benefits the library is the Friends’ Spring Used Book Sale on April 22 & 23. Shop Saturday (4/23) from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and stick around for the $5 brown-bag blowout (3-3:45 p.m.) — or join the Friends for as little as $10 and shop the best selection at the members-only preview Friday evening (4/22) from 6-8 p.m.

Thank you — hope to see you at one of the April events!
