Gardening has been hot during the pandemic, and if your garden has yielded extra produce, you can help feed the area’s hungry by bringing it to the library for the last Plant a Row collection of the season:

MONDAY, SEPT. 28, 10 a.m.
Drop off produce in the cooler outside the library entrance
Monday morning by 10 a.m. (or late Sunday evening)

This is EPL’s third year as a collection site for Plant a Row Lehigh Valley, which encourages backyard gardeners to plant an extra row and distributes the produce to local food pantries and free meal centers. They also gladly accept overflow grocery produce.

More than 250 lbs. of fruits and vegetables have already been collected this year, benefiting two local organizations: Bethel Bible Fellowship Groceries PLUS and Casa Guadalupe.
