Emily Rieser of the Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley will speak about preventing identity theft and fraud. Senior citizens are at an increased risk of being victims of financial and property crime. Participants will hear tips on keeping their home and property safe.Participants will learn how to safeguard themselves from these scams as well as how to recover information if they are targeted. No registration necessary.

LLJR is a brown bag lunch book discussion group for 4th and 5th graders. Registration is required, but the first ten who sign up get a free copy of the book to be discussed. Sign ups for October start September 3rd, for the book Applesauce Weather by Helen Frost. This story in poem is of Faith and Peter, and their Uncle Arthur, who has just lost his wife, the twinkle in his eye, and his wonderful stories. Kids bring the book and a bag lunch to the discussion. The library provides drinks and dessert.

Jules moves into a new place, a ruined house where a pale face appears in the window. That girl was locked in the room over a hundred years ago, and Jules is set on befriending her, and discovering the chilling secret history of the family that lived in the house all those many years ago. Kids bring the book and a bag lunch to the discussion. The library provides drinks and dessert.
