to be sure we’ll see them.

In April, the New York Public Library launched the Book Double Cover Challenge after seeing the clever responses to the Getty Museum’s art challenge. Since then, loads of book lovers have jumped into action, and you can see some of the creative results here. One overachiever has even come up with Covid-19 versions of popular children’s books. Goodnight Zoom anyone?

So, are you ready to flex your imagination? Re-create a book cover for a chance to win a free book of your choice when the library reopens. In fact, re-create as many covers as you like — the more you submit, the better your chances.

Not sure what book cover to work with? Browse around the Overdrive/Libby digital library for inspiration. We bet it won’t be long before you find one you can really sink your creative juices into.

Be sure to send your photo to eplcollection@cliu.org by May 23 or post it on your own Facebook or Instagram accounts with the tags @EmmausPL and #BookCoverDouble so we’ll be sure to find them. Can’t wait to see your clever cover (re)creations!
