The private-funding thermometer rose by $4,874 in August, bringing the total to $70,688, or 51.8 percent of the goal.
Donations and fundraising totaled $3,570, with a $2,500 gift making up the bulk. Sales in the Friends’ Book Nook totaled $470, with $834 in cash receipts for lost and damaged items, printing/copying, and room rentals adding the rest.
The library also received a $15K Trexler Trust grant that will be used to address our technology needs–much appreciated! The grant is separate and aside from the private-funding goal, which is applied toward operating expenses that are not covered by state and local funding.
With four months left to go, the gap to the goal stands at $65,656.
Check back next month for September results and please continue to show your love for the library by making a one-time or recurring donation, honoring a loved one with a memorial/gift book, or getting a jump on your holiday shopping at the Friends’ Book Nook.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE LIBRARY!
