Friends of the Library Holiday Book Sale and Reception The
Friends of the Emmaus Public Library will hold their annual book sale
and reception at the library. In addition to holiday books, gently used
books on all topics which are suitable for gifts will be offered.
Refreshments will be served. Entertainment will be provided by the
Emmaus High School Jazz Ensemble. 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. December 5.
Holiday Story Times 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6.
Books and Barks! Read aloud to the Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs in the Community room. 6:45 p.m to 8 p.m. November 13, December 18, January 22, February 22.
Suns Story-time Toddlers at 2 years old are welcome to share story-time with an adult (required). Join us for stories, songs, and a craft. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. November 6, 13, 20. December 4. January 8, 15, 22, 29. February 5, 12, 19, 26. Registration required.
Stars Story-time Pre-schoolers
3, 4, and 5 years old are welcome to join Miss Sue for stories and
crafts. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. November 4, 11, 18, 25. December 2. January
6, 13, 20, 27. February 3, 10. 17, 24.
Emmaus Old-Fashioned Christmas Visit the Library for our annual Holiday Story-times. 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6.
Block Parties! Come and play, build with the library's architectural blocks!
For 2 year olds: 11:30 to 12:00 p.m. November 13. December 4. No registration required.
For 3, 4, and 5 year olds: 11:30 to 12:00 p.m. November 11. December 2. No registration required.
School age: 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. December 30. No registration required.
Literary Lunch, JR 4th and 5th graders meet to read and discuss books! First twelve to sign up for each title receives a free copy of the book! Bring your lunch, and the library will provide dessert and a drink! 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. November 8 “The Lightning Thief”. December 13 “Black Beauty”. February 7. (None in January).Registration required.

Teen Read 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders meet to read and discuss books! First six to sign up for each title receives a free copy of the book. Twilight Readers Kindergarten and First graders hear about great books, and create a craft. Mondays in the Spring. 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. January 26. February 2, 9, 23. Registration required.
Reading Adventure 2nd and 3rd graders hear about great books, and create a craft. Mondays in the Fall. 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. November 10 (Outer Space), November 17 (Winter), November 24 (Thanksgiving). Registration required.
Fun Family Films Join us in the library for a fun film for the whole family. Pajamas, pillows and sleeping bags are encouraged! Slippers are required. 6:00 p.m. November 20. December 11. January 15. February 19.

Free Blood Pressure Screenings The Pennsylvania Department of
Health will be at the Library for blood pressure screenings the last
Monday of every month. Appointments may be scheduled through the
Department of Health at 610-821-6770 but are not required. 10:00 a.m. –
12:00 p.m. November 24, December 29, January 26, February 23, March 30.
Movie Matinee for adults. Let us know what you’d come to see! Each month, we’ll show a movie selected either for its classic appeal or popularity. Due to licensing restrictions, we cannot publicize the titles of the movies, but call or visit for each month’s selection. Starts at 1:00 p.m. November 12, December 10, January 14.
Online Tools: There’s Gold In Those Databases Learn about some
of the electronic tools and databases available through the Library
website and Pennsylvania’s PowerLibrary. Highlights include historic
photo and document collections, online newspaper archives (great for
genealogy), and research tools related to health, auto repair, and
business. The same program will be held at two different times, 10:30
a.m. or 7:00 p.m. January 28.
