- Lost Rights: The misadventures of a stolen American Relic - Thursday, August 5, 2010 @ 7pm - The Emmaus Public Library presents David Howard will present a talk about his book on the original parchment copy of the Bill of Rights. This is a fascinating story, going from Civil War times to the present, with a bit of Antiques Roadshow thrown in.
- Make A Splash Read! - The Emmaus Public Library Summer Reading Club for ages 3-7 - Start reading Monday, June 1 - Program kicks off on Monday, June 28th at 10AM Or check out becoming a SWIMMER! Also check out Tales of the Towpath below!
- Sleepy Time Story Time - Sleepy Time Story Times are for children aged 2 – 5 accompanied by an adult. Children are encouraged to wear jimmies, bring blankies or sleepy bears. These events will be held on Tuesday evenings May 25, June 29, July 27, and August 31 from 6:45 – 7:30 PM. No registration is required.
- Drop In Story Time - Drop In Story Times are for children aged 3 – 5. Various readers entertain the children. There may also be a craft, a song or a fingerplay. These events will be held on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM for 30 – 35 minutes on the following dates: July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, and August 11. No registration is necessary, just drop in!
- Literary Lunch - Literary Lunch is for those entering grades 6,7 and 8 in the fall of 2010. The first 15 middle schoolers to register for each discussion will receive a copy of the book which is theirs to keep. Read the book before the discussion. On the day of the discussion, bring lunch and the book with you. The library furnishes lemonade and dessert.
- Literary Lunch, Jr. - Literary Lunch, Junior is for students entering grades 4 and 5 in Fall, 2010. The first 15 people to register receive a free copy of the book. Students read the book before the discussion. Bring the book and your lunch to the library on the date below for a discussion. The library furnishes dessert and lemonade.
- Teen Read - For those entering grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 in the Fall 2010 Check the schedule and make sure you are one of the first ten to register for each discussion and receive a free copy of the book. Come and bring a friend. EPL furnishes dessert and lemonade.
