Literary Lunch, Junior - Literary Lunch,
Junior is for students in grades 4 and 5 right now. The
first 15 people to register receive a free copy of each book
for which they register. Others are welcome to come but must
furnish their own books. (Sharing is a good thing!) Students
read the book before the discussion and then bring the book
and their lunches to the library on the date below for a
discussion. The library furnishes dessert and lemonade. The program will be held from
12:00—1:00 PM on the following dates:
11/19, 1/7, 3/3.
- Literary Lunch - he first 15 registrants for each discussion receive a free copy of the book at the front desk. Read the book. Bring it and your lunch to the library on the discussion date at noon. Join us for a discussion, lemonade and dessert in the Gardiner Room. Register for as many discussions as you like. Others may join us if they can find copies of the book. The program will be held from 12:00—1:15 PM on the following dates: 1/21, 2/25, 3/26.
- Teen Read - At the Emmaus Public Library to explore exciting new books and comfortable old favorites. The program will be held on the following dates: 2/1 & 4/4.
- Twilight Readers - Students in grades K and 1 are invited to join Twilight Readers from 6:30—7:30 PM on Thursday evenings at the Emmaus Public Library. This is your chance to explore new books and old favorites, learn songs, make crafts, and play games. There will be two sessions of Twilight Readers. Sessions begin in January 2012.
- Legos at the Library - Once again you loved them, so let’s do it again! On the three cold Saturdays listed below you can bring your favorite Legos to the library and build for a couple of hours. You’re encouraged to bring your grownups, but it’s only required for those under six. You can see what other people build, and even help them if they ask for it. There will be some cookies and some lemonade. No registration is necessary (so far, anyway.) This program is for all ages!
- Stars and Rainbows Story Time - Wednesdays @ 10:30AM - Register now for this story time for those three and four years old by September 12, 2011. Children are encouraged to remain seated alone, but adults may attend if they sit quietly in the back of the room. Volunteer readers will introduce various themes and styles of story telling. Please register at the front desk or by telephoning 610-965-9284. Registration begins Monday, September 12, 2011.
- Suns Story Time - Thursdays @ 10:30 - 11AM - THOSE WHO ATTEND SUNS STORY TIME MUST BE TWO YEARS OLD ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 12, 2011, the school district cut-off date. The children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. Other siblings may attend this program with their parents, but activities (picture books, songs, rhymes, etc.) are geared to this age group. Please register at the front desk or by telephone at 610-965- 9284 to attend any or all sessions. Registration begins Monday, September 12.
