The Emmaus Public Library has a number of programs and events just for children and young adults available throughout the year. All of these are publicized in the local newspapers well in advance–most do not require pre-registration. Also, check out our Calendar page for more specific events, dates, and times posted monthly.
All questions on the children’s programs may be directed to librarians by calling the library at 610-965-9284 x 209, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by coming to the library front desk.
Story Times are held for all ages during the year and run in 8 week sessions. Come to the library for brochures with current and upcoming events and watch the local newspapers for announcements for special programs throughout the year.
Literary Lunch is a read-and-discuss program for upper elementary, middle school, and high school students. These programs do require pre-registration. The first 10 to sign up receive a free copy provided by Friends of the Emmaus Public Library to be read and discussed. Participants should pack a brown bag lunch, the beverage and dessert will be provided by the library. Watch for announcements in local newspapers, on Facebook, this website, and at the library.
Special programs like Story Time and Teen Night for readers of all ages are held at the library. Family Game Nights, Movies, and Block Parties are some of the monthly events open to everyone. Some of these events are sponsored by the Friends of the Emmaus Public Library, The Ladies Auxiliary Club, the Rotary Club, and others. Events are announced at the library via flyers, in local newspapers, Facebook, and on this website. Some are also announced via flyers that are distributed by the East Penn Schools and sent home with the students during the school year.
