It’s turning out to be an exciting week around here! Yesterday we showed you how to request items from the 12 libraries in LCLC and get them in 1-2 days, and today we’re happy to announce that you can now retire your old library card and trade up to a colorful new LCLC ‘Share’ card that’s good at all of these libraries:

Catasauqua, Coplay, Dimmick (Main and Penn-Kidder branch), Emmaus, Lehighton, Lower Macungie, Palmerton, Parkland, Slatington, Southern Lehigh and Whitehall

No need to carry multiple cards if you frequent several of these — or to have a patchwork of barcodes on your home card — now it’s one card and one barcode for all!

Perhaps the best part is that you’ll get both a wallet card and a keytag — so there’s less chance you’ll forget your card when you leave the house.

To get your new LCLC card, please bring in your old card and a valid photo ID. You’ll also need to make sure your account is in good standing — no outstanding fines or fees and no overdue items. If you have a balance, you can settle up with cash, a check or credit card ($5 minimum).

So, take a few minutes on your next visit to get your new card and start enjoying the benefits of belonging to a much larger ‘library’ now — or 11 libraries, actually!

Have questions about the Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative or the new library card? Leave a comment below, stop in, or give us a call. We’re here to help. You can even schedule a free 30-minute appointment with a librarian who can provide one-on-one support to help you get the most out of LCLC.
